MOST IMPROVED COMPETITION – JUNE / JULY 2020

CLICK HERE FOR A VIDEO INTRODUCING OUR MOST IMPROVED COMPETITION

Throughout June and July we will be running a ‘Most Improved’ competition to help motivate you all to work on your gymnastics skills during lockdown. Simply decide which skill you would like to work on and email us a video of your current attempt at that move by the 1st July. Then keep practicing and improving that skill at home with Mum or Dads help, and send us a second video of your best attempt at the skill after all your practice by 9am on 29th July.

We will then post the results out in our next newsletter and pop some sweeties and medals round to the winners : )

Parents entries also welcome!

Categories you can enter are: forwards roll, headstand, handstand, handstand full turn, cartwheel, 1 handed cartwheel, round off, forwards or backwards walkover, aerial cartwheel

It is a great chance for our gymnasts to experience competition within their sport but in an encouraging and nurturing environment. All gymnasts will be learning a competition floor routine this term as part of their ongoing training.

CAFE: Please note that the HYC Cafe will be open from 8.30am for cold and hot food and drinks through out the day.

Venue: Hazlemere Youth Centre, Rose Avenue, Hazlemere HP15 7UB

Times: you should have had an email on Monday 24th February confirming your child’s competition time

Please note – please arrive 10 minutes before your round is due to start so that your gymnast can get changed and go to the toilet so they are ready to start as soon as we dismiss the gymnasts from the previous round.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

No flash photograph allowed during the competition as too many flashes distracts the gymnasts, you may use your flash during the medals ceremony or ask them to pose for a photograph at the end.  We also would ask that you do not post any photographs that may have other children in them on the web, even if those children are just in the background of the shot and do not include any children’s names in photos that you may post.
